Absolutely cracking example of a Starlet here and a sound owner too:

This was/is on Donedeal for €6500...not the prettiest example up close

This was/is on Donedeal too, for €3500, and looked to be worth every penny of it

What's the blue coupe in the corner, in the 3rd photo in MrCostigan's 2nd batch (the one after the Mercedes W114/115)? It's pretty damn nice.

It's a Ford Maverick, was absolutely class.

Good show, arrived around 1130 and left at around 2, had to ensure we were there in time to bring the kids to Pat Fallon too!

The usual suspects were there, from the ridiculously out of place k11 micra to the dreamers in the for sale section (including usual dreamer Mr Golding)

Cars of the show for me were:

    The Rolls
The blue WRX (really given me a want for one of these or an EVO)
And due to my personal grá for them, the 400ci firebird at the back.

Oh and my e60 in the carpark of course!

Is that the grey 87 Rolls that was out on the field? Lovely old thing, not mint - but well used!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 22,639 ✭✭✭✭ELM327

Yes,thats the one. I had a similar one but an '82 in blue before. Best drive of any car I've ever driven.

I prefer "not mint" anyway, cars (including old rollers) are made to be used. Once you maintain them there's no reason to trailer an 80's car anywhere.

Yeah I saw that one come in but when I went out later to grab a photo it had gone.

Looked to be an original Irish car too going off the reg number and the older type font on the plate

Looks like I missed a good few cars by getting there at 2, pity they don't stay a bit longer.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 12,079 ✭✭✭✭Duke O Smiley

Also as an aside, I came back to my car on two different occasions to find someone leaning on the same front wing

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,288 ✭✭✭MrCostington

Were you showing it, or in the carpark?

I saw a big guy bend down to look underneath a car, getting up he uses the door handle to pull himself up! He also tried to open the doors. I can see why some would be put off showing their cars.

The silver 97 Corolla inside (I know, I know! It was well received though, got plenty of nice comments)

I'll look out for you next time!

Exactly why I don't enter my cars in shows anymore, I was parked in the car park. The general public have no respect.

So it is! You'd think he would have more photos, it was a lovely car. I'm not a fan of the exterior color (preferred the metallic blue I had on mine) but it's not the worst.

Ah OK. well another one then. I just remembered the post I quoted, and judging from his posts is local to there, so came here to check.

Not mine, as above I sold it to a man from Achill.
