Two iPhones on one Apple ID?

I have a spare phone and thinking of using it alongside my primary phone. I’ll get a top up sim for it. Is there any reason not to sign in with the same ID?

You can use the same apple I'd for both. In fact, that's the best way to do it. ICloud backup will just see them as two devices and your apps will be available on both devices.
