    Hey everyone.
So my partner went to the hospital yesterday, and has been advised that he has to have a pilonidal sinus excision. Does anyone have any idea how much this procedure costs in a public hospital, with no insurance or medical card? Thanks in advance!

If its a straightforward excision, it should be possible to do it as a day case. I have private insurance, but afaik public charges are 80e per day subject to a maximum of 800e in a 12 month period. My now 19 year old has had a horrendous time with this condition, and in the space of 2.5 years has had 3 operations with the last one being a rhomboid flap procedure which finally has worked.
