I have to replace our current boiler as it's knackered. We have been recommended an ideal logic or ideal vogue. I know zero about boilers and was hoping to get some help advice from a few of you regulars. House is a 3 bed semi. thanks.

I don’t think there are any bad boilers anymore just bad installations, who fits your boiler is more important than what is fitted. Look for a long warranty and good local service cover.

Will go with a local that was recommended by a few people. I just want to have to facts before I pull the trigger on it.

Any idea what the main differences are of the two?

We have a small leak in the system but two service engineers are pointing to the pressure relief value as the problem (the pipe outside has water at the end of it), rather than a leak in the system elsewhere.

As the boiler is 20 years old, should I go with one of those power flushes? Do I need it?

Anything else I should ask about or look for when I do go ahead?

Flush is a must, a magnetic filter is a must as for the which boiler i haven’t worked on either so others would have a better idea.
