    Got a new card as my old one expired. Does it have to be done in a BOI machine? I could get to one if required but any near me are on main streets of towns so I'd rather use another if possible. Thanks.

    Thanks for reaching out to us here.

    Yes you can activate at a non-BOI ATM (where the Visa logo is displayed) by making a cash withdrawal. Once you have withdrawn cash, it's instantly activated and available for purchases at a point of sale and online.
