A popular UK YouTube documentary series is currently doing an Irish edition exploring all the railways. The channel is called All The Stations. In 2017 they explored all the railways in Britain which took 59 episodes, 105 days to complete. For 2019 they've set themselves a new task by visiting all the railways across Ireland starting at Rosslare working round the country. Here are 2 useful links.

That's going to be pretty embarrassing when they show the absolute state of the stations around the country.

I have watched all the episodes so far and have enjoyed them mostly.
But I have to agree with you. I thought most of the stations look pretty unappealing. The sheer amount of dreary steel fencing everywhere!

I think the lady mentioned looking for “quaint” at some stage. But sadly very few of the stations have much architectural merit or attractive features. The scenary makes up for that at times, but not enough really!

I always like Portarlington station. Anytime I was there it looked like someone had made an effort.
