Getting a watch authenticated

Guys im thinking of buying a pre-owned Rolex.

My question is how would I go about getting a Rolex authenticated here in Dublin? Like how long would it take and how much would it cost? Watch I'm looking looking at has box and papers.

Has anyone here ever got it done before? On any brand?
This thing of meeting at a jewellers to get it authenticated wouldnt be good enough. I'd want to know if it had the correct parts, box and papers.

Any advise would be greatly appreciated.

An AD won’t be interested in helping you from my experience.
But I had a couple of watches authenticated (iwc and omega) in Dawson st jewelers. They charged me something first time and free second time.
Now they won’t be able to tell you that the watch is 100% original but they can determine if the core parts(case, dial, movement) are authentic to that watch brand.
