Torn discs

... As above says recent mri shows torn discs. Long story short, few months agoo I litterly lost control of my bladder with shooting pain after RTA, went in to A&E, got xray done. Docs said it's fine keep taking morphine and anti inflammatory meds and sent me on my way could see some soft tissue damage not sure name of diagnosis but basicly muscles make splint like effect on your spine ie streight spine .
Fast forward few months find myself back in docs for yet another apointment. On off pain. Demand MRI. And there it was. My loveley discs.
Anywho. Got refferals to neurologist and pain management team. But god only knows how long I will be waiting. Pain is so intense. Can discs heal? Will this mean that at nearly 30 I will be in pain for rest of my life? Apart from surgery, can I do anything else? Won't consider chiropractic services as I think they do more damage than good.

Anyone with similar can tell me will I ever be painless?
