Garmin 1000 turning off

    Anybody had issues with this model ? . Bought in Halfords so thinking of returning as it’s less than a year old . Just turns itself off randomly . Battery plenty of power and updated software .

    Had something similar in my 800 and 500. I am not saying that's this but worth a try. Try to start lap before you start cycling.
    It looks like some kind of power saving feature.

    Have you emptied the unit of your old activities?
    This takes up space and clogs the unit.

    There is also a hard factory reset option not sure but you will find it on google..
    (you press the start stop button with the reset in a sequence as far as I remember)

    I’ll empty the unit first and try that , it’s very intermittent so will take a few spins before I know . Did some more research and it seems a common enough issue

    Just get anything that isn't a Garmin. Garmin Cycling don't understand QC.
