How long does it take between the seller and buyer agreeing a price and the ground being trainsfered or legally being the property of the buyer?

All depends on the solicitors. Was waiting almost 4 months for mine to be completed 2 years ago and I literally had to ring my solicitor every single day for 5 weeks to get it completed.

My advise is to put pressure on at the beginning and gets things moving as early as possible

My solicitor claimed that they were waiting on contracts from the seller but that was BS because I had been in contact with the seller and the contracts had been sent for weeks.
Not sure if it is just the way they work or what but I changed solicitors for a current land purchase so am hoping they will be a bit more efficient. (6 weeks and counting at the moment but there was a bereavement on the sellers side so that probably set it back a few weeks)

Is there clearance required from the Land Registry? I think that can be a delay.

I had a bit go through in or around four weeks but that was the fastest I’d encountered, it can be months if not more if you’ve a lazy solicitor or auctioneer, or someone with some sort of claim to the ground. Did you buy? Congrats if so and best of luck.
