This ability puts her on a collision course with the evil and immortal Charlie Manx, played by Emmy-nominee Quinto (Star Trek). Manx is a supernatural villain who feeds off the souls of children then deposits what remains of them into Christmasland — a twisted place of Manx’s imagination where every day is Christmas Day and unhappiness is against the law. Vic strives to defeat Manx and rescue his victims – without losing her mind or falling victim to him herself.”

It's airing weekly on AMC although the dropped all episodes on there streaming service.


I've watched the first two episodes and it weird very weird and I'm enjoying it I never read the books so I can't compare.


I have read some of King's sons other books and enjoyed them

What a very weird series premiere where nothing is explained or even hinted at and nothing really happens and the whole episode is pretty much about what I assume to be one of the main characters
One of the reviews I read said give it 2 episodes before judging it which I usually do unless its really crap from the get go.

I have to say I really enjoyed that season.

Zachary Quinto was creepily really good throughout.

Finished the series - not really anything to talk about, will have forgotten about it in a week or two
Nothing much really happened, predictable ending - should have been advertised as a horror show for kids
Zachary Quinto phoning it in - then again he's always seemed a bit of a wooden actor to me.

Maybe suffering from the same fate his father suffers from in that their books generally don't translate well to celluloid - haven't read the book
