Now that we know CORU are slowly starting a Board of Accredition - does it matter that particular degree we take now?

Does it matter now that the Level 8 degree ofer 4 years is not IACP etc?

From what I read, as long as it’s a 4 year QQI course, it’s valid and all these old Irish bodies will be defunct?

I don't think it's that hard [relatively] to get your degree course accredited by IACP and QQI, if they aren't accredited with anyone only QQI I would worry it may be a sign that something is wrong?

Am I right in thinking there are people from IACP and IAHIP on the board for CORU?

looking at 5 years at lest until it is set up. hopefully the likes of IACP.will be dismantled..

there will be a grandfather system put in place and current accreditation bodies will be placed in a advocacy/CDP role if they chose to continue to exist.

The main criteria already exists, if the CORU board are going to keep it at this standard. regardless legislation cannot be enacted in retrospect

anyone practicing will be entitled to register. However, in some cases it may be necessary for the person to take up some more training. its gonna depend
