    Hi,

I've recently finished several practical and theoretical engineering courses (machining/welding/maths). I'm looking for cash in hand work in these areas, does anyone know of Engineering companies in the Dublin area that offer such work? or even is it possible in the engineering industry in general to find casual work?

    Thanks.

I haven't seen cash in hand jobs in this sector at all.
Your best bet would be to set up as an independent contractor or go through an agency looking for contract work.

    Do you have any experience?

    Hi Keith,

Thanks for the reply, other than the 4 months placement not really. I rang around a few places and all that came back was ,"no cash payments in, so no cash work", or there abouts...it's a pity because I on disability and I'm only allowed to work 2-3 days a week, so I was hoping for cash in hand.

You do realise cash in hand work is illegal so that's probably why you are getting the replies you're getting?
