    Hi all,

I picked up a CCTV system from aldi yesterday (philex 46016PI)

The picture on them is fab (1080i) and has a 1 TB drive.

It comes with awful cloud software for ios and android and thats it. picture quality is dire through it.

Ports 80, 5000 and 5001 are open and it has dynamic dns settings.

It seems that it doesn't have browser access and doesnt come with other client software. I assumed I could, especially with DDNS access. Am I missing something? Can I use some kind of client software to connect to it from mac or windows rather than mobile?

    Thanks

Most manufacturer's would have some sort of client software.
Have you tried the manufacturer's site?

They have nadda on it. A bit of a users guide. I’m getting the impression that the software on the recorder is buggy as hell. Settings getting deleted. No response from ports.

It's better to consult with your local specialists. I also use CCTV Camera Systems in my office, specialists from our local security company advised me surveillance cameras Calgary. They are one of the best on the market today. I have been using them for a few months already, they come with client software.

Did you try gdmss lite? Usually takes most systems.

I too got the Aldi camera + dvr box at the end of march.
It worked brilliantly for a few days but then my broadband "went west" and I had to get Virgin out to fix it. It was only after the engineer had gone that I found out that the cloud app would only work in low resolution (FLUENT) and when I tried the hi res. (CLEAR) it froze up.
After 2 weeks it turned out that my new Horizon broadband router was NOT opening ports 5000 & 5001 even though I was setting them open in the router config. I had to use NMAP to prove to Virgin Tech (and Customer) Support that there was a problem with my router and could they please just fix it because every thing was working fine before.
Eventually Virgin sent me a different (Virgin) router and every thing worked fine again. Just plugged and played. No need to open ports. No probs.
After trawling through the interweb, I get the impression that there are recurring problems with the Horizon (Samsung) routers and port forwarding....
So in the end everything worked out fine but I now know more about TCP/IP than I really wanted to.
I hope this gives you some comfort.

I was using the local access through the app and it would only give me fluent. It wasn’t until I set up a cloud account that I got a clear video.

I've also been able to use the BLUESTACKS emulator to run the ADCloud app on my WIN7 machine and it boogies along quite nicely!

I have now installed this camera system that I bought in Aldi in March 2019.
I'm having some issues and I'm wondering if anyone else is:
Even though I have reduced the monitored area (blue grid) down to just a few squares (making sure that they are out of any plants or even plant shadows), I still get notifications every few minutes. I have tried setting the sensitivity at 1 and at 8 (min and max) and no difference.
I suspect that changing sunlight is triggering it.
Also, page 9 of the manual I cannot get screen "J", the time screen.
    Anyone else?

Re the triggering, I ended up resetting the whole unit because one of my cameras kept being triggered for no reason. After a reset, it returned to normal. On the mobile, I can’t get the time screen or any playback of recordings.

Hi everyone. I have spent a long time trying to find a replacement for the ADCloud software that came with the Aldi cameras. Adcloud was removed from the Apple store. This replaces it Zosi Smart App see https://apps.apple.com/us/app/zosi-smart/id1355964934

note, you can use the same log in details as they all seem to be connected.

Hopefully this will help people as it has been very difficult to find this solution.
