Bar mixer shower replacement recommendation

    Hi,

I have a Triton Dove Bar Mixer shower - https://www.tritonshowers.co.uk/mixer-showers/dove-bar-mixer-shower.html have had this for a bit over 5 years now. A bit over a year ago, the shower kept dripping and we had to replace the flow cartridge as it got quite bad. It recently started dripping again. It's not exactly cheap to replace the cartridge and I don't want to deal with this every year, so I want to replace the whole bar this time with something more durable. I'm not really sure what to look for though, are there any brands in particular you'd recommend? Do I just need to make sure it's the right size or is there anything else to watch out for? Don't know if it matters, but we have a pump in the attic that only services this shower (we only have one bathroom).

    Thanks!

Replacing the bar might not solve the problem. It's unlikely that two cartridges /flow valves will fail like this. It's much more likely that there is dirt getting fr the tank to the shower. It only takes a speck of almost invisible dirt/dust to cause the problem you described. Personally I'd look at cleaning the tank and fitting a lid if it doesn't alr have one. Another possibility is that the thermostat isn't working in the hot water cylinder. This will churn up sediment from the bottom of the tank

Thanks for that! The tank does have a lid, but it could probably do with a good clean, will look into that! Do you think I'd still have to replace the mixer bar?

    I'd rule out dirt first.
