Hi everybody, First time using Amazon(i ve just came out of the cave)

I ordered an item which is being on route from the US and due to arrive on Thursday. I thought one of my family would be here but no one will be now. I can't seem to change the address to my work place (Amauter moment not doing it originally) or highlight this. What happens to the package? Is it left at a centre for collection like as an post does with their sorting office?

    Thanks in advance.

An post normally delivers Amazon orders so like any missed delivery you can collect in depot or local post office.
I sometimes get a text from an post telling me about upcoming delivery and that has the option of changing delivery details.

Depends in what courier it gets past to in Ireland. Most of the time in my experience been an post. Whoever it is, they will bring it back to the closest depo and leave a note stating its location. Some will arrange a second delivery.

Check the status of your order, once its landed in Ireland you should see who it gets past on to and you can contact them before delivery with the tracking number to arrange a time that you will be available.

Thanks for the replys. If it's an post the nearest sorting office isn't too far away anyway. Will get in touch once it here with whoever has it
