    Hi all,

Does anyone have contacts within the fertility / IVF sector here in Dublin area for career/job?

It would be a trainee lab embryologist role I’d be after, but to be honest I’d love to just get my foot in the door with a clinic!

Tried emailing the various clinics in Dublin. No luck. Can't even get a response. Tried LinkedIn, not much luck as most are fertility nurses.

I acknowledge it's a very specialist field with limited openings, but would appreciate if anyone had any leads - in particular for trainee roles in embryology/andrology. Doing a masters in Reproductive Medicine part time and was looking to get a job in the field I'm studying in.

I've no suggestions re contacts or how to get into the field, but will the college you are studying with not assist with job placement or at least suggest ways of getting into the industry?

Is the course based in Ireland? Does it involve lab skills, or is this something you've done at an undergraduate level?

No the course is over in Bristol! I do it part-time, only have to go over twice a year. So they have no contacts here in Ireland unfortunately.

It's lab based yeah. Thanks anyway

It was actually an old account I couldn't get back into at the time (forgot password)

It's a friend of mine who's doing her MSc in Reproduction & Development (Infertility & IVF). She's tried all the clinics here, has managed to score 1 days lab experience with one of the bigger ones, but other than that it seems very very hard to get in as a trainee embryologist.

It's getting her down as she knew it's a market that isn't that popular in Ireland compared with UK, but was expecting to get on board with one of them during this 2 year masters. Doesn't want to have to move to england to get it, but it might be her only option!
