What way have people found best to sell on older ICE cars before moving to electric ? I'm not sure the usual Donedeal route will attract much interest for a 2007 E class petrol with 260k kms on it

    Thanks.

If it's priced right it'll sell. Does it have any NCT left? If not you can book it it in early and get a years NCT. Just make sure that you post the VLC when you sell it.

The alternative is to bring it to an authorised vehicle end of life centre. But I don't know how environmently friendly it is to destroy a perfectly good car.

Best bet is to keep an eye out for scrappage deals (unless your car is worth more than 4 or 5 grand that is).

To be honest donedeal is your only man, unless you have somebody you know interested or put the feelers out. Yeah there wouldn't be much of a market for it but depending on condition sure stick it up at a good price.

Have a Savage adventure bike on done deal I'm reluctantly selling and so is maybe priced a lil high. Been there a month no interest.
I put my a6 avant up last sat night with issues detailed and a realistic price. Sold and picked up in an hour.
It will shift if priced correctly....

Consider hanging on to your 'worthless' ice car as a back up for a few months or years. You can even declare it off the road so no need to tax it. You can retax it any time online. You may not need a second car insurance depending on who's name the car is in and if you policy covers you to drive other peoples vehicles. You may be able to temporarily transfer insurance over if needed. I only suggest this as I held on to my ice, and eventually retaxed it, as it is useful for long trips, as the current public chargers are very unreliable and busy. You may also change your mind and want to sell your electric vehicle. Scrappage may be best value, but don't discount having an ice ready to go parked outside if you need a long trip or forget to charge one night (I have done this) You can always sell your ice in 6 months time for very little difference in price. If leaving car parked up medium term see online guides for how to prepare it. I use a tiny solar panel to keep the 12v battery topped up and ready to go at a moments notice.
