    I’m about 99% sure of the answer to this question, but wanted to check;

    An engine on a petrol powered powerhose that has an oil inlet and a dipstick is a four stroke engine isn’t it?

    I do not need to add any oil into the petrol.

    Isn’t that right?

    Yes. There is no reservoir for oil or dipstick on a 2-stroke engine.

    Just double check that the oil is not for the pump rather than the engine.

    Very unlikely you will find any power washer with a two stroke engine.
    They are all four stroke due to reasons of economy and either a Honda GX series engine or a Chinese clone version like Loncin or worse.
    The oil level check is performed by unscrewing the dip stick wiping it clean and then sticking the dipstick back in but not screwing it down and removing it to take a reading.
    The oil level will be too high if its read by screwing it down.
