I see Yorkhill has been declared for Clonmel tomorrow. A fair fall from grace for this fella!

It doesn't look a bad race to be fair. I wouldn't wright a horse of his quality off just yet. Ballycasey was a grade 1 performer touted with a big future who went off the boil for a couple of years. A lot of people thought he was finished, came back and had a good spell again. Could easily happen with Yorkhill.

If he hoses up tomorrow at a juicy price you could be biting the kitchen table with a red face for a while. It will be interesting to see how he gets priced up, there are 2 other WPM runners in the race. If he was fully tuned and back to his best he would wipe the floor with them.

Oh i'm not writing him off at all. Just surprised to see him running in a Tuesday race in Clonmel.
A fairly competitive card to be fair.

Gwan Yorkhill ya mad bastard the comeback towards Gold Cup supremacy starts here!

Anyone up for laying Annamix again?

I would rather lose a fiver on Poli Roi at 12/1 than anything else at 15/8. What a heapash1te of a price. The 2/1 about Acapella Bourgeois looks baitey enough also. Best watched I think.

I might go along to my local Paddy Power for a laugh in the morning, just to hear Ruby waffle about his best chance of the day, ffs.

YorkHill probably being aimed at Galway plate or hurdle?

Are you looking for him to end up in the Fianna Fáil tent?

My hot selections for Clonmel today. The weather looks tasty, I am going.

    1. Raya Time - form behind City Island can no longer be ignored.
    2. Pin job, they all look a bit meh, no bet.
    3. TotalClusterfcuk = no bet.
    4. Ballybrowney Walk - Unlucky last time and I cannot ignore the booking of Barry Geraghty, who is still the most underrated jockey in the world, imo.
    5. Having a massive fiver on Poli Roi at 14/1. It fairness with Artic Fire, Yorkhill and Acapell Bourgeois it is a good field, the result will be odd enough I think. Honourable mention also to St Stephens Green, who might also get a fiver if he is in his coat. After all that Polidam probably wins it. Phew.
    6. Loch Luatha
    7. I am interested in Jamie Codd riding Working Capitol for Oliver Mckiernan. Although the favourite should take all the beating.

Looking forward to seeing Liz Doyle in the flesh, mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm.

Dabble on Captain CJ in the 2.10 Hexham - lad I follow on Twitter is sweet on him is my reasoning :) I don't back midweek racing but we'll make an exception.

Wins at a canter... that last "jump" was a bit dodgy! Straight through the hurdle.

Annamix decent run - jumping was very lacklustre imo

Annamix gets the job done but far from impressive, he must have landed on all fours at about 3 or 4 fences

A horse called Gracious Gamble backed in from 12/1 to 4/1 in the next :D I initially thought it was a McManus colour too... couldn't make that up!

Missed the start of the 4.20 but at the end looked like Yorkhill was struggling to jump.
Something happen at the start of the race?

Got in tight to a good few of them, the engine is still there though

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,625 ✭✭✭RivetingRoger

Went out like a light after the last
    Not sure re the engine???
    Jumped left like a muddafukkaa

    Such a shame

Honestly not a bad run considering the layoff and considering he's the maddest bastard going, it is a definite improvement on his showing last year. Would love if they threw him into Aintree anyway.

    very conflicting views on twitter
Paul Kealy reckons thats the end of him
Emmet Kennedy is positive on the run
    RTV fairly positive

You would wonder why they picked a course going the wrong way for him to make his comeback tho....
Still tho, to be honest, AB is a HOUND and it won going away from him so I am finding it hard to be positive :(

    Shame, love the horse

Yorkhill did not run too badly at all. He definitely jumps out to the left, so I would not be getting too excited about him at Punchestown or Fairyhouse.

If you don't wing the last at Clonmel you can struggle to win the race. The finishing line is straight after and contenders need to fly it and land on the run. He certainly did not do that, he looked a bit tired and jumped left.

He was not fully in his coat before the race, so I would expect a better run next time. What would worry me more is where he is going to get left handed options for the rest of this season? Also he could simply be just regressive now.

Emmett Kennedy wouldn't know one end of a horse from another. A clown of the highest order.
AB is far from a hound. Was a very decent comeback run from Yorkhill The horse came back in late and has had a good few hold ups. Was badly in need of the run.

Just seen two of Tony Mullins horses were killed in a road accident on the way to Clonmel today, very sad.

Agreed with Kauto. Emmet Kennedy is a clown and insufferable to listen to with his in house jokes

Jokes are usually funny, his are not. Can't understand how anyone still listens to that podcast with him and that posh bint on it.

Yorkhill is done at the top level anyway. I wasn’t that impressed with the run, travelled well but when the pressure came on he wasn’t very willing even allowing for him needing the run.
