    Hi,
I have a Siemens gas hob. Most of the rings just won't stay lit. I will turn on the gas, hit the spark and it will light. I will have to do this a few times for it stay lit.

I replaced one of the thermocouples but it's still the same. Oddly enough, if I tap one of the hobs and then spark + gas, it's more likely to stay lit.

    Any ideas?

Maybe a proper deep clean might do the trick? If some of the vents / openings in the burner rings are getting blocked (doesn’t have to be by much) it’ll impact air flow.
Could also be that the automatic shut off mechanism (to stop gas flow when there’s no flame) is acting up. Here a proper clean might improve things as well.

Hope you are an RGI, because your talking about performing restricted and illegal gasworks on a public forum.

You need an RGI to come out diagnose and repair this appliance, most manufacturers have people on the road, and if you call the supplier where you purchased it, they should have contacts for you.
