Estates to avoid in Moate

My wife and I are moving to either Athlone or Moate. We have looked at various properties in Moate and some of them look very nice on the surface.

I've heard though that some of the estates are quite dodgy. As I understand it there is a certainly family in the area that causes a lot of trouble and should be avoided.

There was a thread ages ago about the Ard an Locha estate with someone asking to be direct messaged for the lowdown on it. That person isn't on here any longer.

Can anyone from the area advise me on the following estates :

    - Sliabh Rua
    - Ard Grainne
    - Ard an Locha
    - Cois na hAbhainn
    - Oakhill

Can you also tell me which of them have fibre broadband available.

    Thanks

    :D
