    Hi guys.

Are Doritos Chili Heatwave vegan?: https://www.tesco.ie/groceries/Product/Details/?id=260780036

It say 'vegetarian' on the site but I don't see anything that stands out as being non-vegan bar these:
    • Disodium 5'-Ribonucleotides
    • Sodium Acetates
I know that Doritos Blaze & Doritos Spicy Sweet Chili are vegan.

    Cheers.

According to veganuary.com they are “accidentally vegan” https://veganuary.com/starter-kit/accidentally-vegan-products-uk/

A lot of things will say vegetarian that are vegan, or won't say anything at all. You might find the accidentallyveganuk page on instagram helpful as they share a lot of the same products as Ireland. https://www.instagram.com/accidentallyveganuk/

Hi TA. I've found Tesco to be about the best of the big supermarkets for labeling things as vegan instead of just calling it vegetarian. However, yes, there are plenty of items that are clearly vegan that are just labeled as vegetarian -- ironically the other day I saw a package of bulgur from Tesco that says 'vegetarian'.

Wouldn't it be great if, by law, that 'vegan' was the default label on all foods that ARE in fact vegan-safe, therefore both vegans and vegetarians automatically know it's ok for them. Currently, labelling something 'vegetarian' (even though it may in fact be vegan), just means that vegans have to scour the ingredient list to see if it's ok for them to eat. If things changed, if something is marked 'vegetarian', then vegans would know not to bother with it.
