Interior Dividing Doors

    Hi All,

I'm looking at changing the existing dividing doors in a house which divide the sitting room/dining room. The dividing doors that are there are very old - they run along the wall on one side as opposed to opening into the wall if you get me.

So looking for recommendations on places that offer this sort of work? Also would people have any sort of ballpark figure for this work?

    Thank you

I can't help with recommendations or costs,You might do better in DIY.
I helped a mate fit such a door ,it's called a pocket door.
His wall was an internal solid single block wall; so not a stud wall in which to hide the door when opened.
He built a false stud wall onto the wall, which meant losing about 4ins of space.
We had a bit of trouble getting the 'pocket' the correct width for the steel frame supplied, so we had to shim out the studs about 5mm.
With boisterous kids he did not fancy flimsy 1/2 in plasterboard covering it,
so he fitted plywood under the plasterboard.
I don't know where he got the kit from, but he made a great job of it.
