In the end of the last episode of Shetland on Tuesday night Jimmy and Duncan address each other with female names as a joke. Is this referring to something previous or just a joke about them being like two old spinsters\lesbians.

    Yeah, that's all it was.

That last season was bordering on the ridiculous, and I think Shetland has run it's course. Too many times Perez asked people who grew up on Shetland, or own a lot of property, who they were. If he grew up there himself (he did) and is the top police detective he'd definitely have an idea who everyone is, and definitely know large land owners.

The love life of Tosh is also off the wall.

Maybe he's got a chip on his shoulder about them lol, I might actually use that approach with the ones where I'm from, might take them down a peg or two. 'Who are you again?' :P

There's 16 inhabited Islands with a population of 25,000 people, hardly realistic to expect that he would know everyone. Didn't think that this storyline was as strong as previous seasons but I wouldn't call it ridiculous.
