    Hi folks,

Myself and my wife are spending a Friday night in the Osprey Hotel Naas soon.

I'm looking for a local restaurant recommendation please. "Normal" food i.e. steak, chicken etc so pub grub etc is fine.

Also any recommendations for a pub suitable for a couple late 40s, bit of music (live or otherwise) but not full of kids.

If there was someone with craft beers, that would be a bonus!

    Many thanks!! :)

33 south main ( main street) food is nice, live music on the weekends

Kavanaghs is great for drinks, there is a restaurant above called bouchon which is lovely

Graces is also a nice place - haven't eaten there in a while so not sure what the food is like

I was going to say Kavanagh’s aswell
Best pub in town imo but no music
Bouchon upstairs is great just been refurbished
Actually going tomorrow night so will let you know what it’s like
Best thing is bouchon can be accessed from a stairs inside the pub
    Is very busy at weekend

Lawlors hotel might also have music
They have a restaurant aswell and you can also eat in bar

    Thanks for replies folks.

Lex - any update on Bouchon? Quality, menu prices etc?

    Thanks again!!

Kavanaghs will also let you buy any craft beer they don't have in the bar from their off licence next door and drink it in the bar!!

Did that before when I was looking for Kinnegar - barman told me to get it next door and he'd give me a glass for it when I came back in!

    ya good night Friday night
The updated dr is better than it was
    much more comfortable
Menu was good and food was excellent
Wife not happy as no lamb on menu but two types of steak
I was ok as steak but felt the filet was a bit pricey at €32

same staff so level of service still excellent
Great to be able to pop downstairs after in the bar for a few after drinks

Rustic has a great Italian and European menu, and a great atmosphere. Advisable to book in advance for weekend evening. Then next door you have Kavanagh’s, won Irish pub of the year a few weeks ago. Good eclectic crowd and a bit of music. You don’t have to wander far for pubs so try a few around and let us know what you thought.

Ps. It would be good to keep this thread going as people eat in different places around Naas. Good to hear feedback if you don’t get out too often!

Was in Monread lodge during the week. Massive menu, was a bit disappointed, food was very rich. I’d imagine it would be good food for a few pints during a match

have always enjoyed TRAX on the few visits I have been.
Vie De Chateau is excellent, was there a few weeks ago,tad pricey

Have tried the carvery in Lawlors & found it to be fine.
Haven't tries Rustic yet, will do soon

    Butt Mullins another good option

If you like Indian, Mayur is top class
Been to Rustic lately, pizzas were a bit soggy but service is excellent in there and as a varied menu its brilliant
