Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Pothole Inquiry

About a week or so ago a friend of mine hit a pothole on the Kingscourt Carrick road about 3 miles outside Carrick. It's destroyed the integrity of his alloy and the tyre is not fit for road purpose. He's been quoted for s new alloy and tyre at a price of €220. My question is what can he do to recoup the money he's incurred from the poor quality of so called main roads of Ireland.

Does he go to the local authorities to lodge a complaint on the cost of damage it's cost his car or could he take legal action to recoup his money. Subsequently the pothole has been filled up very poorly and still is not even with the road. Any advice on what to do would be much appreciated.

Was the pothole in the "original road" or did the pothole form in a recently refilled in road? (ie: Was it a previous pothole that had been filled in?)

No the pothole on the road was original to the road and was not a pothole that had previously been filled in.
