    Apparently the deal went through.

All well and good people chirping about the X-Men in the MCU, but the idea of Disney owning the scale of IPs it now does is f*cking depressing.

"Monopoly" doesn't really cover it TBH

This still isn't as bad as Disney's involvement in copyright law, and the "Copyright Term Extension Act" of 1998.

Family Guy might finally get cancelled now.

Can't see Disney wanting that kind of Cartoon under there banner.

Fox cancelled American Dad a few years ago. TBS almost immediately picked it up.

Of course, you're wrong. It doesn't have to be "under there banner" (their...), they can just continue to let it air on FOX, but now make money off it. And Family Guy most certainly does make money.

The Murdochs still own the Fox terrestrial network and the cable channels Fox News, Fox Business, and FS1&2, as well as the physical studio lot in LA (which they will rent to 20th Century Fox).

The FCC would not let the same company own both ABC and the Fox Network, hence why certain assets were retained.

The Murdoch's don't own National Geographic anymore that is a good thing!
