Boxus hedge pruning

Whats the best time to prune a boxus hedge. Its a quite young hedge and i want to clip the top from growing so it bulks out a bit and fills in gaps between the plants.

early summer is when you should start your first cut with your final cut in autumn

Agreed with early summer, I clipped mine too early ( Late April ) one year and they suffered a late East wind blast, scorched badly. Usually leave it to June nowadays.
