Cinnamon oil toxic to dogs?

Wondering if someone can help. Dropped a bottle of cinnamon leaf oil on the ground and dog stood in it. Before I knew it he was licking his paw. Put him straight in the shower to wash it off but the smell is still very strong. Worried that it is toxic to dogs after a quick search on google which says essential oils can harm the liver. Really don’t want to ring the emergency vet over this as he seems fine so far, (albeit slightly pissed off at being put in the shower at 1am!) but would appreciate any advice. He’s a rescue dog so maybe I’m just being over sensitive.

He seems to be ok so far, thank you. The smell still hasn’t subsided though as anyone who has used cinnamon oil will know it lingers for days. Will keep an eye on him, hopefully it isn’t as bad as google has made out.
