This was built in 2012 and is kinda showing it's age (I'm having display issues quite often) Is there anything other than the SSD and HDD worth keeping and moving over to a new build? I had a friend build it and spec it for me. I'm happy to spend around €1000 (but obviously cheaper is better), plan on doing a little bit of video editing, some gaming and will be doing coding projects on it too.

Ideally I'd love to have someone/ or a shop build it and do it for me so does anyone have a suggestion of who to look into or where to go?

I'm planning on getting 2 new monitors too because the ones I have atm aren't VESA mountable and don't have a very high refresh rate and I'd like to be able to swivel at least one of them portrait so if anyone has any recommendations for those too would be helpful.

Overclock CPU, add another 8GB ram (4x4) and a 1TB SSD and then throw in the best card you can justify and you're golden.

Using an almost identical build at the moment, and I'd echo what is said above. Throw an RTX 2060 or 2070 (or a Radeon RX Vega 56/64 to get those free games deals) into that build which should correct your display issues, and add some additional RAM for the video editing. The large SSD is just for more fast storage, which is nice to improve the loading times of some games, and I believe it speeds up video editing if the footage being worked on is currently on an SSD. Just move finished projects out to the HDD afterwards.

Where are you located? adding ram/ gpu and ssd are quick and easy. I'm sure someone would help you out here if you wanted instead of paying a shop to do it?
