Guys does anyone know why you can't get Selsun Shampoo in any pharmacies anymore?

It's out of stock everywhere (even online)

It's by far the only thing that works for my seborrheic dermatitis

The active ingredient is selenium sulphide, there might be similar shampoos with it.

A site I use is saying some of the selsun brand is no longer produced.

I have the same condition on my scalp and used Selsun for many years. Selsun is gone, apparently. However, I've been using Head & Shoulders with Selenium Sulphide (same active ingredient as Selsun) and it seems to work. I just leave it on my scalp for four minutes as I did with Selsun.

Do you find the H&S version hard to locate in the shops / chemists??
I have been looking but can never see it on the shelf anywhere, pharmacist told me to try nizzarol (no good) and also Capasal (no good). I ended up getting a prescription for Loccoid, which does work but obviously I would like to try something off the shelf if possible. TIA!

Here you go. I think I got mine in Boots. Also available online but pricey. H&S have a few different versions containing selenium.

Did not manage to get my regular one but local pharmacists says his supplier has imported this version of Selsun which has the 2.5 concentration

Its in 200ml vs 100ml I usually get and instruction in French, but around the same price.

    so far so good..i think!

(p.s) one online retailer got back to me saying my regular brand wont be available til 2020 - no clue how true this is

If you’re in Dublin, OP, they have Head and Shoulders with Selenium in the Stephen’s Green Boots. I got some there last week.

Stieprox shampoo could be an alternative

TGel therapeutic shampoo from Neutrogena might work as a standby until Selsun is available again. Think it's available in Tesco and most chemists.

Can’t find it anywhere either only thing that’s ever worked for me! Hoping it’s not permanently discontinued
