No, going by the specs, it will be fine for Saorview, but doesn't seem to have a satellite tuner to connect your dish to.

Or, have you a Sky subscription, and wondering if it'll connect your Sky box? If so, yes to that.

In the market for a new TV and looking for something around the 50 inch mark. To be honest I didn't know anything about TV's before today but seems like 4k and having dual connectivity for a saorview lead and a satellite lead are what I should be looking for between 400-600 euro.

I am I missing anything else or is there anything I should be looking for? All the TV's in the shop around that price with those 2 specs seemed pretty good so I decided to leave it for a day or two to research it a bit. This is what I was close to buying:

This would be a far better option. Its a great all rounder for the money, I have a larger version of the same model. The only downside is how far the stand sticks out in front of the TV.

You get what you pay for, really. Hitachi are a very low end brand, the panel itself might be OK but the overall unit is poor quality.

A 50" FHD for €370 is reasonable value for sure, but I wouldn't say it's a bargain at all all things considered.

Almost all of the lower end brands like Hitachi, Walker, Blue Diamond, Normende, Sharp, (lower end) Toshiba, etc are all made in the same factories. Good value, but not really bargains.

Hisense are probably the best 'bargain' in the lower end segment.

The Hitachi tv brand is owned/produced by Turkish company Vestel these days and sold exclusively through Argos afaik.

Not sure what the difference in spec is between the one you quote, and the one I linked to above. Someone with more knowledge than me might see the difference.

If it helps I bought that Power City LG a couple of weeks ago and it's still going strong. :P
