I know a few farmers in Cork who had loads of reactors clear after 9 months, average.

Yea I'm in the North East, Monaghan to be specific, and tb was rife in the back end.
Whole county of monaghan has to have 3 tb tests in 2019.

That map kinda hides how bad it is in wicklow, top 3 counties for herds getting locked up are monaghan, wicklow and dublin

Our vet would say same, herds getting really hard to get clear once they go down.

We have a dept vet with a reputation among vets regarding tb testing, it was rumoured he was asked to go to monaghan last year by the department chiefs to sort out the vet's and tb. He suspended 5 vets one year here, because of testing. The vets here are scared s******s of him and his antics.

Going by that map I'm situated in a blackspot in the West. I couldn't say that I noticed an increase in Tb prevalence locally compared to other years. There's a few pockets of it locally but that's been the case for long before my time or so I've been told.
There's one particular parcel of land within a stone's throw of our own that seems to be a constant source of infection. The man that owns it has Tb troubles most year's but almost always exclusively confined to stock grazing the plot in question. Despite farming a large acreage across the locality it's nearly always this parcel that yields reactors. This means extra testing for adjoining herds but Tb is still a rare occurrence in these neighbouring herds.

I’m in the north east and I’ve had one case of tb in over thirty years and she was bought in just before the test. Most of the herds adjoining me have been locked up regularly over the last couple of years some cleared out a couple of times. Badgers are rife and while there was supposed to be numerous culls I haven’t heard of any official ones. There was a good few deer too but I think they have been trimmed back recently.
