Can anyone recommend a fruit and veg store, preferably south county, that stocks a great range and excellent quality fruit/veg. Specifically looking for white onions and artichokes at the moment. Thanks.

*I've moved this to the Dublin County South forum, it's much better suited to here than the Food forum.

There's such a shop in Stepaside village. I don't know if they'll have what you're specifically looking for but what they have is great quality.

    They're called Simply Fresh

Great place in windy arbour opposite the central mental hospital. The name escapes me, but I'm sure a quick Google will bring it up.

That's great. Thanks everyone. Will keep those shops in mind. I actually found white onions in Avoca Kilmacanogue today ... no artichokes though.

Robbie has left Fruitworld and set up his own shop further west at the run of shops with chemist/butcher/Centra and Drumartin post office. It is a continuation of Lower Kilmacud Road and actually Drumartin Road at that point.

I'll second that. If he doesn't have what you want, he'll either get it or tell you where you'll get it.

I was going to suggest that shop. I haven't been in that shop in a good few months but they were well stocked anytime I have been in there. Maybe give them a ring OP and see if they have what you want

Nope, they're two different shops Robbie is further up the road towards Kilmacud.

Ah - I had understood that Robbie was the proprietor of Fruit World also. Maybe it has changed hands.
The shop at Drummartin is certainly very well stocked.

Does Robbie's in Drummartin just do fruit and veg or is it more of a general grocery place like donnybrook Fair, Lotts & co?

I usually go to Get Fresh on Marian Road, Rathfarnham.
