usual length of time for amazon refund?

i sent an item back to amazon last monday the 4th march, i had paid for the item using my amazon gift card balance.

my account has not been refunded yet. how long does it usually take? the item was sold by amazon, not from an independent seller.

I was refunded immediately on my giftcard account, before I had even returned the item. I still have the item actually as they never sent me a return label. Give them a ring maybe? They are very good to deal with.

Same good experience here.

Had a handful of returns over the years and refund was always very quick and no hassle. I don't remember whether it was instant or once it arrived in their mail centre, but I remember it was quick. It may depend on the item, too.
The two times when I had to talk to or email someone it was all 'No problem, I'll have that done for you in a minute'. And it was.

i returned something to them this time last year but cant remember how long it took to get a refund. might ring them about it tomorrow.

i all i did was leave a bar code in the box i returned. their instructions for returning something did not mention putting an invoice in the box.

what number can you contact them from ireland?

You don't need anything other than the RMA slip form the returns label with it. No need for the invoice. You'll get an email once they've processed your refund, and that says it should be complete in 5-7 days. If you didn't get an email, then they haven't processed it yet.

was talking to someone from amazon about it, he said not to worry, i will have my refund soon.

Sometimes they have really odd procedures. I sent an item back via An Post, it showed received into Port Laois depot, and yet they didn’t refund me for 3 weeks, because “they hadn’t received it”, despite it being with their nominated carrier. Sometimes they refund you before you’ve even given it to An Post.
