How is Sterling stable?

    As above Sterling seems remarkablely stable and strongish concidering what's going on? How is this? And do the currency markets know something I don't (probably!)?

    Sterling took a hit immediately after the vote in 2016 which it hasn’t come close to recovering from so I think the relative steadiness of the last 12-18 months has already factored in a good part of the brexit uncertainty.
