The wording on the policy just says any other private car not owed by insured and with permission of the insured. My friend is buying a car and it would be ideal if I could drive it home.…

The wording on the policy just says any other private car not owed by insured and with permission of the insured.
My friend is buying a car and it would be ideal if I could drive it home. Car is tested but not taxed. Anyone dealt with 123.ie on this.
Does the other car need insurance - I don't believe so.
Does it need to be taxed - it shouldn't have a bearing on insurance but with driving extension they can set the rules really?
Some insurers say the car must be road worthy while others say road legal.
