Since late 2017 . First tv news at 1pm and last at 9pm unbelievable from public broadcaster . I sent an email at the time and got no reply . The cutback of tv news is disgraceful they seem to think its ok you have the app etc but RTE primary role is to tv and radio and should not be sacrificed at expense of digital . I can't see a situation where the minister would ever consent to closing news now now RTE2 might be a different story

What’s the point of News Now if it only has 2.5 hours of live TV news.

Have they shown anything extra online with these cuts since then? Who did you email?

Go to the top, get the email from 2017 and reply to it asking for a response and cc the head of news.

At this point I’d ask that no personal email addresses be published in this thread please. Also some actual discussion wouldn’t go amiss

Can any provide a link to any of their one minute online bulletins.

Debate: is taking a live feed of a press conference really a substitute for reporting/journalism?

Second warning, I’m not a big fan of “dump your unrelated rant here” threads, I need to see something approaching a discussion or the thread gets closed
