Route advice - Tullamore to Dublin

I’ll be on a road bike coming from the west coast earlier that day. I’ve a reasonable route to Tullamore planned, but unsure what’s a good route to Dublin from there. The Royal canal sounds a bit rough for the bike. Looking for a direct, safe (ie. few or zero lunatic cars grazing by) cycling route from Tullamore to Dublin…

I’ll be on a road bike coming from the west coast earlier that day. I’ve a reasonable route to Tullamore planned, but unsure what’s a good route to Dublin from there. The Royal canal sounds a bit rough for the bike.

Looking for a direct, safe (ie. few or zero lunatic cars grazing by) cycling route from Tullamore to Dublin (Terenure eventually). Be doing it late afternoon on a Saturday if that makes any difference.

I’ve seen this post, and the route from godtabh but that looks a bit out of the way.
