Any of ye bet on them???

I was just in a bookies standing beside a lad roaring abuse at a cartoon racing car for going too wide.....

Girl behind the counter in the local PP told me before they take as much on the cartoons, sorry, VR, as they do real animals!!

I am pretty sure i once saw cartoon dogs jumping ****ing fences!! And people backing them with REAL money!!!

Back about 2008, Ladbrokes were turning over €1m per week on virtual racing. I would hate to see what the figure is now. There used to be virtual soccer and I’m almost certain there’s virtual cycling and car racing. It really is sad to see what betting shops have become. I would gladly go back to the old days and take a smoke filled shop with no windows and teletext prices over what is available today. They are cesspits of the highest order. I’ll send the brother in to put a few bob in my online account on Monday evening, I havent set foot in a shop for aboht 10 years.

I can confirm, see above, that there is indeed Virtual Car Racing
And, as above, people back them..........To see a grown adult roar abuse at a cartoon car for "going too wide" was just baffling to me
There is a virtual Grand National in PP everyday

    Same here

I often get to view the SIS channels and there is almost as many virtual races as actual aces - possibly more when you include the mornings

It’s very hard to feel sorry for anyone that loses money on that kind of thing. It is literally like putting a match to your money. I do recall an acquaintance from my local pub who refused to go in to the Paddy Powers ship across the road because he said the virtual racing offered in there was apparently rigged. Not sure if he was joking or not, but then again he used to sit at a poker machine in the pub 5 days a week so I’d say he was quite serious.

I can never get my best ones on the right ground. Some of the jockeys in that cartoon stuff should be fired, I mean it.

Look on the bright side. In the jumps races, your horse is never a faller;)

I’d have an odd €1 bet in the virtual national if I was bored but never the every 20 seconds Portman Park, Paddy Park, Wobble Downs etc

A friend of mine who works in a Boyles in Cork was telling me that 11% of their revenue is on the virtuals
