iCloud v iCloud drive

    Evening
    Am not very tech savvy but are iCloud and iCloud drive the same thing? Ànd my iPhone says I have spare storage in the cloud but have no storage on my phone so I can't update?
    Any one able to throw some light on it?
    Also should I be able to check and access iCloud storage from an Android tablet?

    iCloud is Apple’s online data management product. It allows you to store and sync things like contacts and photos across multiple devices. It also includes features like Find My Phone. iCloud Drive is a part of it, specifically for cloud file storage. Lots of apps can save files to iCloud Drive.

    To install an iOS update, you need free space on your device, so there’s enough room to download the update file, and then move things around during the update. The space you have in iCloud is no use in this case. You can however delete some apps to make the required space, do your update, then reinstall the apps.

    To access iCloud (including iCloud Drive) on an Android device, try logging in to iCloud.com through a browser. I don’t think there’s an Android app for it.
