Hi, I have recently reclaimed 10 acres of bog land and looking for what grass seed varieties and clover seeds ye would recommend or grass seeds ye have found grows in bog land. Some of it is goodish enough type of ground and more of it is real peaty. It will mainly be used for grazing sheep. Tia Homer.

Something with timothy anyway. I've found it hard to get clover to survive in cutaway bog. Do a google on heavy ground/peat +grass.

If the seat's wet, sit on yer hat, a cool head is better than a wet ar5e.

Alsike clover and maybe birds foot trefoil if you're not going to graze it too intensively. Meadow or tall fescue and cocksfoot in addition to timothy

I sowed grass in bogland last year. I think it's was Tipperary grass no 2 from agritech. It was s seed mixture for difficult soils and even with the drought last year it flew. Huge head of grass on it atm

I have a 2 acre field that's boggy. 3 to 4 inches of peaty soil then daub underneath.

Did you just spray off & min till?
How much fertilizer would it need for first few years?

Horrible job. Had to be sprayed off. Mowed, raked, baled. Powerharrowed and then sown. Some trash in it
