Does anyone know if you can apply for a US NonImmigrant Visa without having a trip planned?
I'd like to have a visa, so that I can have the flexibility to travel there when I want to?

/edit ...and yes, I do need a Visa.

If you're an Irish citizen, you don't need a visa. You just need an ESTA.

Which you can get without having specific travel plans and it's valid for 2 years and for trips of up to 90 days at a time.

Make sure you buy it from that link I just gave you. There are a lot of third party cowboys who charge extortionate rates.

Yes you can apply without a ticket booked.

They don't want you to buy a ticket in case you are refused.

Some of us have blotted our passports by travelling to non US friendly states. We need visas.
