Parking space query

    Hi,
In our contract it states our new house comes with two car parking spaces. They have now laid our driveway and it is running parallel up the side up the house so parking one car directly behind the other. We were originally told it would be two spaces side by side.
Does anyone one know the minimum dimensions of a residential car space or which standards they would be in or is it the same as a public car park spot 2.4m x 4.8m. If anyone knew for certain that would really help thanks:)

There is no certainty other than what is written in your contract unless the spaces are so small that it is not conceivable to describe them as such. There is no statutory minimum standard.

I know that "two parking spaces" can include one behind the other.

The only thing to do is check your contract.

Parallel spaces and perpendicular spaces have different dimensions. Check the LA standards

Check the planning applicatio. Be lucky the LA allowed 2 spaces

Would it not be clear from the plans which one it was meant to be
