Trying to organise a family get together for my sister's birthday in April, will have people coming from a few different areas so has to be central. Can anyone recommend a nice family friendly restaurant around the city?

    Probably best to include:

    Price range
    Type of food / preferences?
you mention 'family friendly' - are you including kids in this?

    Mid price range
There is 1 vegetarian among us but other than that we are not fussy
    Yes there will be kids

Fallon & Byrne is a good choice, decent kids menu as well, not the usual crap

The Market Bar is nice & very suitable for kids, especially for those with buggies.

I did hear it was kid friendly, I have only ever been here on nights out drinking so hard to picture but would definitely be interested to check it out!

The vintage kitchen is great and very accommodating and also it is bring your own. Food is lovely but you'd need to book well in advance. Check out Tripadvisor

No idea about kids but some good places for having a veggie option are the garden room at the Merrion hotel, platform 61, peploes.

Sorry but one person's mid-price is not the same as others. How much are you expecting to pay for a 3 course meal?
