iPad screen touch is screwed

OK people, Got the battery replaced on an iPad 12 months ago, last few months the touch screen is mental bad to use. Not registering a touch and more than likely if it does it's in the wrong place. Is it worth getting the screen replaced?

Its not the LCD screen but the digitizer. The ribbon cable may be snagged/damaged after the battery repair.

Did you get the battery changed via a authorised repair centre as you might be covered?

is an apple iMac completely ruined after having a cup of tea spilled over it?
this happened this evening and owner is shocked and upset as to be expected.
