I want my account and posts deleted

    Hello,

    The AH mods in their wisdom have made it clear that I'm not welcome. Fine. Under GDPR, I wish my entire account to be deleted and all posts/thanks what-have you. How can I get this done?

    Thanks for moving. I've been led along to messaging a user (Boards.ie: GDPR) to delete all threads, posts, thanks etc.

    I'm looking forward to it.

    We do not delete accounts or posts, however you can read our GDPR policy here and how to request deletion of your personal data.

    I'd recommend trying to work things out with the mods though or try some of the other forums on the site (if you have enjoyed using the site thus far).

    How do you delete your account. Surely its a breach of GDPR to refuse to do so.

    You can close your account here: https://www.boards.ie/close_account.php

    This erases details from your profile, including your email address (though this is retained in an inaccessible hashed format for 40 days for site security) and sign-up IP.

    If someone submits an erasure request (either by sending a PM to Boards.ie: GDPR or an e-mail to datarequests@boards.ie), we erase details that we hold on a user and anonymise their username on a thread by thread basis.

    Ok so the username is remove technically. Thats all I need to know.Thanks
