    Hi
I sent an email to accountchange@eir.ie requesting that the account in my name is transferred to the name of my sister and for the direct debit to be changed to her bank account. I haven't got a response but in the meantime, I noticed using the my Eir app, under the my profile tab that it's possible to change the account name and direct debit . I done this and it appears to have updated correctly . Is this all that's necessary or do I need to chase the account change team to update systems on their end?

    Thanks

    Hi dealhunter1985

You can indeed change the direct debit details via your myeir account.  You would not be able to change the name on the account for data protection purposes.  In order to do this you would have to call 1901 and do a 'cease and re-provide' in your sisters name.

    Many thanks
