Adding a zone valve for Hot Water?

My gas boiler currently feeds radiators via a zone valve for upstairs and downstairs, and a feed for my hot water cyclinder.

I have noticed that my system has only 2 zone valve for the radiators. No zone valve for the water loop. So every time I heat radiators I heat the water cyclinder also.

I am looking to update my heating controller soon and was thinking of getting a zone valve added for the water loop, so that I can choose to heat either the radiators (upstairs or down) or the water.

Is there any reason why my water wouldn’t have a zone valve?

    Any help greatly appreciated.

    No reason.
I've added a motorized valve for hot water a while back ago. You also need to add an extra timer if your existing one cannot control hot water separately.
